Quiet day in this sector. Two coordinates, both deep in the liquid end of things, and I wasn't in a rush to leave either of them.

First one was 007.0.0Z. System & Wise have been working together for nearly three years, and "4 Seasons" landed on Soul Bros. Records, a label that's been holding the soulful, atmospheric corner of liquid DnB for a while now. Six minutes long, and this banger earns every one of them. I came in at the top and somewhere around the two-minute mark I stopped what I was doing. Just sat with it. That's the kind of roller that doesn't chase you down. It keeps moving and lets you find your way in. Deep, introspective, the whole atmosphere sitting heavy in a good way. Right at the centre of what that label does.

Later in the day I dropped into 007.8.1B.

Loadstar put "Take a Deep Breath" on RAM Records in 2017, off I Need the Night, and the title earns itself. These are producers who've spent years building big, rolling productions with room in them. My shoulders dropped before I'd even clocked where I was. The tune just asks you to breathe and then carries you. Clean, assured, patient in the way that only comes from people who know exactly what they're building.

Two finds in one sector, both liquid, both the kind where you lose track of the clock. Hope they find you somewhere quiet enough to hear all of them.
