Mercury Records

Mercury Records is an American record label founded in Chicago in 1945 by Irving Green, Berle Adams, Ray Greenberg, and Arthur Talmadge. It established itself as an independent operation through the 1940s and 1950s before eventually coming under the ownership of Universal Music Group.
